Who says poker and sport don’t mix? To recognise poker acceptance as a mind sport the Hachem Management Group Invitational poker event is partnering with the Australian Sports Foundation (ASF). “We want to turn the perception of poker from gambling to sport as we believe it is a battle of the minds” explained Tony Hachem. We chose the Australian Sports Foundation because of its community partner being Giving4Grassroots program which is all about the kids. Since 1986 ASF has helped raise over 300 million in additional funding for Australian sport and we are proud to lend our support. We would like to thank all of the sporting legends that donate their time to support such a worthy cause including Shane Warne, Jeff Fenech, AFL superstars, Olympians and the broader poker community.

Celebrities get up and sing for the cause

Great to see Anthony Callea and Tim Campbell lending their voice to a great cause at the 'Poker With The Stars' Invitational event held at The Trust venue in Market Place Melbourne.It was a privilege to hear them both get up and sing for the enthusiastic intermit crowd, definitely enhanced the nights atmosphere. Congratulations to Tim Campbell who went on to make the final table much to Anthony's disbelief.

    Red carpet, entertainment, sit down dinner, formalities, poker - explosive version created by HMG. Its fast pace similar to 20:20 cricket. Played in sporting stages.

  • IS POKER GAMBLING?

    Poker has been officially accepted as a mind sport by the International Mind Sports Association at the organisations congress held in Dubai. It is now considered a mind sport just like chess and bridge.


    At HMG, we are trying to change the perception of Poker in Australia from  gambling to being the sport of the mind. The game is 70% skill and 30% luck, like most things in life. 


    HMG put their events on outside gambling venues to steer away from this misconception. At our events, the poker side is played with chips/tokens and not real money. Its simply a game.No other company in Australia do these types of events.
